Yes.... dogs are highly trainable and so are pigs (which can also be trained to use the toilet surprisingly) but most won't like doing it because it isn't natural. I wouldn't suggest trying to get your dog to do this, because it just isn't comfortable for them, especially since they aren't as graceful as cats. If you live in a highrise and it is difficult to get out right away, consider a pet loo.

Don't know about the toilet, but my dog is litterbox trained so that might be an alternative for you.

Yes but it is extremely difficult. It seems to be against their nature to not mark their territory. Cats learn to use the toilet much better than dogs. You need a special flusher for both of them.

my fifth grade teacher trained her cat to use the toilet. so i'm sure a dog can be trained too.

For drinking purposes yes, for potty purposes, it would take a lot of co-ordination on the dogs part and you would either have to have a push button on top or a string off the handle to teach flushing.

I guess... although ive never heard or seen it done... i guess you will have to train him like if you were training him to go outside to use the bathroom... I have no clue... i dont see that working at all!! =) good luck to you with that one!! =)

depends if there legs are long enough to reach the toilet! ok if you have a great dane...

yes buy puppy pads and everytime after puppy eat put it on the pad untill it uses the bathroom then praise it.
