Lack of drivers for hardware, software incompatibility, etc. I have never seen such a lame attempt at a new op sys as Vista from Microsoft before. If you are happy with XP, keep it! Give Vista at least a year to get the bugs out and make sure your PC fits the requirements!

A lot of people are complaining about Vista because the interface is new and different. I admit I was one of them. It took about a month to get used to it, but I like it now that I know my way around. The primary drawback is that my old software isn't all compatible. Also, you'll need pretty new hardware to run it. I'd say give it a few months for more software to be released and then upgrade. In the meantime, try to read up on how to use it so it won't be such a shock.

Well depends what type of user you are and then why it is necessary to upgrade if you can do all your stuff on XP. If your answer is just for a change than its not a good idea. But if you like to play with things and really attached to graphics than give it a try keeping in mind a completely new operating system might not work with your existing system specifications and also the cost of it.
