Destry, Although you most likely look fantastic already. I will give you a mans opinion. You will be satisfied if you were between 125-135. If you can maintain that weight, you will feel and look great. Excersize as much as you can, and you need to be dedicated, exercising is hard work and there will be days that you won't do it, then next thing you know you haven't gone for a week and you will be dissapointed. Excersize atleast 4 times a week. Stretch before and after. Eat right, no soda, sweets, or high fatty foods. Have three meals a day and do not have any late night snacking... You can easily lose twenty pounds in three months this way IF you are dedicated to working out and eating right EVERYDAY.

I would say to join a gym because then you have a full array of exercise options. The elliptical is a great starter machine, burning lots of calories, and then you can move up to the treadmill. Plus, you get a lot of weight machines, which are essential to any weight loss. The pool is also a huge plus, because swimming is just about as good for you as running. Plus, at a lot of gyms with a membership you get FREE classes like Yoga, Pilates, Kick boxing, Biking, Fitness, and some come with personal trainers. I strongly recommend the YMCA because it has all this for a modest price. Good luck!
Oh, AND they have free members daycare for your baby so you can workout easily!

Whatever machine you buy, it's best to buy a multi-purpose one. It will cost less money to you, and will allow you to work out on your whole body. I'd do both because if you can't make it too the gym, you wont have to worry about missing your workout because you will be able to do it right in your own home, expecially when you have a baby in the household.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

if you can afford a decent treadmill, that's your best bet. When I had one... I ran every day and lost about 50 lbs over a year. Then it wore out and was too expensive to fix.

i think gyms are good, but with a baby it would be more convinent to have a machine at home, and you could do it more often if you'd like.
