do you find it wrong if I don't feel sorry for people who choose to reject Christ? if I just say "their choice, their problem"? is it wrong that I prefer to argue rather than just say "I did my part?"

can you give Bible references? and I know atleast 3 atheists, agnostics, or muslims looked at this question.

You cannot force people to believe. That is the Holy Spirit's job. Your job is simply to spread the word, nothing else. Don't try to do God's job also.

----------------------------------
1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, speak to your countrymen and say to them: 'When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, 3 and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, 4 then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not take warning and the sword comes and takes his life, his blood will be on his own head. 5 Since he heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had taken warning, he would have saved himself. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.'
7 "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 8 When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for [a] his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 9 But if you do warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself.

10 "Son of man, say to the house of Israel, 'This is what you are saying: "Our offenses and sins weigh us down, and we are wasting away because of [b] them. How then can we live?" ' 11 Say to them, 'As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?'
~Ezekiel 33 (NIV)

23Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
~2 Timothy 2 (NIV)

NO. It is not wrong to feel sorry for people who chose to reject Christ. Sometimes, to feel sorry for a person who rejects Christ is a sign of concern; and I think it is really natural, specially to those who care much to their neighbors.

YES.t is wrong that you leave your neighbor because of "their choice, their problem" thingy. One is always responsible for the other, especially to the ones who are really in need.

NEITHER. It depends upon the type of person, and the situation if you argue or just say "i did my part" for if the person you're talking to is a type which wants to argue over things and you feel that what have you done is right, you need to argur, otherwise, not.

No. I cannot give Bible references because i do not read it much more often but Iam sure of thisbecause this is part of the teachings of the Catholic Church. Bible references are not solid in terms of logical arguments and sorry to say that the Bible is not used to be followed-Bible is the basis of the Christian faith. To be clear, i don't want to use Bible references even if i know just to prove my ideas. If you have your faith based on tthe 'words' on the bible and if the bible version you used is later to be found out 'inaccurate' your faith is surely weak.

P.S. I am a Catholic

Well Jesus said on the cross, forgive them Father, for they know not what they do. I suppose you can forgive ignorant people who do not believe. Remember Paul was a persecutor of the church, out of his ignorance, and God forgave him. I suppose you can feel sympathy towards the ignorant.

If a person is just evil, rather than ignorant, then I suppose you might be wasting your time feeling sorry for a devil.

All non-believers are not alike. Maybe once you were a non-believer. Who know what stage of salvation a non-believer might be in? So don't argue just for argument sake and antagonize people that God loves.

Remember this about God: He is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2Peter 3:9) I suppose we should imitate him. I supposing a lot ain't I? Peace.

Yes, there is the great commission.
Mk 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mk 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Mk 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
Mk 16:18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
Mk 16:19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
Mk 16:20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

That is a command to go into all the world.

I don't see anywhere where Jesus felt sorry for anyone who rejected his message. He had sympathy for lost people. His harshest messages were for the religious people of his day because they abused their positions of power. The people he went to were for the most part, accepting of his message. I guess when you see miracles, it helps. Arguing with people has it's place but you must use that tactic in the proper forum. This forum is good for that when there are reasonable questions asked. It's not even worth the effort to post a response to stupidity in many cases. It only inflames more stupidity.

You should feel sorry for those who do reject Christ because, as a Christian, you have the testimony of the Revelation of John at the end of the New Testament that tells you how all of this is going to end, so you know what's going to happen to non-believers, so therefore you should feel sorry for them. However, you cannot force Christianity upon them because, like everything else in life, it is a choice that God gives to His people, and thus they have the option of saying either yes or no.

Honest...Christians Only = an oxyMORON.
There's no respect of persons with God. None!
Not with law God on high nor grace God higher.
Perhaps you haven't heard the earth is globe-all.

By law: all die (all perish) = extinction
By grace: all live (none perish) = salvation
Either way of high or higher, it's "all", not some.
And both all die and all live is also an oxyMORON.
Not to mention salvation can be temporal or eternal.
Saved + Destroyed afterward is a dinosaurish ending.
Such notably happened to them all saved out of Egypt.

Many shall come...to DECEIVE... shall deceive many.
The level of deceit (difficulty) increases as you go on.

More excellent way: neither broadway nor narrow mindead.

Lukewarm is not acceptable, so get hot or not = cold.
Many x-ians will offer you a 'cup' of 'cold' for a 'reward'.

Here's a picture of 'cold', notably from the 'weather channel':
http://www.weather.com/newscenter/slideshow/katrina2.html

Perhaps Easter 07 is a good time to re-think crucifixion.
Especially if will of God is: I will have mercy, not sacrifice;
And the "not" part of it is notably not then, not now, not ever;
And do will of God notably PRECEDES receive the promise.

Only what began can end.
His Grace has neither begin nor end.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

There are more Christians going to hell then non Christians..
Adolf Hitler knew the vain teaching that to accept Jesus is to be saved... So he kept the Lutheran and Catholic Church's..

you can kill millions of Jews and destroy the world and still get to heaven

during the so called holy war in the middle east the people were screaming for Islam to regain control...After the so called Christians took over, because of all the rape, murder of innocent people... These people accepted Jesus to..

The white Southern baptist hoop and holler Jesus Christ and wear the white hood and kill and torture people because of color, or their belief... they accept Jesus to..

In Jesus' true ministry, He was calling Gods true children, The ones that work for the good of others and things... People that deeply respect the truth in others and self.. People that are fair in their dealings with others... people that stand up against doing evil to others...

These are the true Children of the God of Israel.. of any race, religion, no religion.. and no matter what sexual orientation for it is not in the name but self spiritual orientation

I think we always should have compassion on all men irregardless of their decision.
I would not argue with them to begin with. Just use verese of the scripture on them.

The Bible is the sword of the Spirit. Let the sword do its work. Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

They may argue with you and win, but they cannot argue with the Bible and win.

I'm not going to tell you how to feel. Represent Christ through your life and be ready to talk with people that see a difference in you.

If they don't see a difference in you then don't argue with them. Most people argue to defend their ideas whether their ideas are right or not. There's simply no sense in it.

Great question!

1Cor 3:6 says, "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase."

If you "plant the seed" of God's Word by witnessing, then you have done all you can do. Someone else will be led of God to "water" that seed, but only God can convict them and save them. However, feeling sorry or not feeling sorry is not mentioned in the Bible. You ought to feel some concern for their lost and dying soul. Don't argue, however; just plant the seed, and encourage it and "water" it when God opens the door, and PRAY for them. That's all you can do.
