Must be coz of the lunar eclipse tonight, it affects animals in certain ways.

She was tracking something and the noise scared her. Since she was now scared and mad, and then you bothered her, she let you know that she wasn't happy...hence the scratch.

Just cause you can't see something, doesn't mean the cat doesn't. A cat can see a flea move in the carpet and can hear a roach at 20 yrs behind a wall. And just cause one cat notices it doesnt' mean anther cat will.

Imagine being really focused on something and then a friend snuck up behind you and slammed a book down scaring you. What kind of mood would you be in?

A cat is nothing more than a 3 yr old that can't talk.

I've had this same thing happen with one of my cats and two of my dogs. It took a while to find that they were watching the same spot always and that spot on the inside of the wall had a route that mice were using to get to the attic.Thats where they all go you know. The D-Con people told me that and so didn't the guys at the farm supply store. They said that is where you should put mouse poison is you have to use it. My cats get any we have but every year in the fall when they start coming in the animals start watching that spot again.

Your cat probably saw and/or smelled something that scared her very badly, such as a mouse or an insect or even a sound from the TV. Look her over for scratches, clean the area and possibly move the TV as earlier suggested and she'll get over it. Cats have notoriously long memories and it will take her a bit to get over a fright.

There could be a smell there that only she is sensitive to.
The Lunar eclipse answer is cool cuz animals are very sensitive to weather changes and changes in the atmosphere.
I doubt she is "physically" ill.
Cats like humans are moody and are prone to bad days.
If she does not eat/drink/pee/poo then be concerned.
Maybe she saw a ghost.

slightly nibble of chocolate won't kill her. I used to have a cat who enjoyed after-eights and replaced into consistently beginning the field and chewing the corners off the candies. She could have lost some weight in the time of her being pregnant and if she is making an attempt to get into the abode, she may be searching for someplace secure to have her kittens. Is her mattress interior the shed sufficiently huge and secure sufficient for kittens to be born in? If mum would not think of that's, she'll bypass someplace else to have them. additionally, if she's on the brink of giving delivery she is definite to be drained. Any actual concerns, you could desire to have her checked over on the vet and picture approximately the place those kittens may be born - it fairly is extremely substantial.

she could have seen something there on a different day. maybe a snake or a mouse. i know cats are mousers but is she's never seen one and it jumped at her or bit her it could have really scared her. animals are like kids when something scares them they don't forget easy. it may take some time but she should get over it. if it's still a problem in a week or so and you're still worried call your vet.

Try moving the TV and putting something bigger there, if the area changes around it might help and spray some febreeze around it too in case she is smelling something that you cant pick up on. It should at least help to calm her down and help her to forget about whatever spooked her.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your cat. Sometimes cats just do that, kind of like when they get the "cat crazies" and start racing around from one room to another, puffing their tail up. She's just being playful and trying to get your attention.

cats are sensitive to the supernatural, sounds creepy, but its true, ya may have a presense in your house, that the cat knows about, just say hello, and go about your business!
