Even though the drugs are not yours you can be charged with them. It is best to ride with people you know.

Nothing. If the car belongs to the driver and the weed is IN the car, not on someone, then it's the driver's weed regardless of who bought it/smoked it. Unless you were picked up for being under the influence of a controlled substance, which it sounds like you weren't, the only person in trouble is the owner of the car.
