In some case it will work but in others it may not work because the person may not get jealous and the only person is u hurtin is urself.

If you care about someone, wanting to make them jealous means you want to hurt them in some way. That's not caring about someone at all. So, no, I haven't done that to someone. That's cruel and it isn't caring. It is very childish and immature.
