I'm 24 and I don't want to be around a bunch of obnoxious drunken 18-year-old children who don't know how to handle themselves. Yuck.

Perferably warm, with beaches and good shopping nearby.

Don't know what your budget is like, but the Honduran Bay islands, and Livingston, Guatemala, are fantastic. Snorkeling (one of the workld's largest coral reef systems), great shopping, culture, and lots of privacy. Not many people think to go there. You can check out the Mayan ruins while you're at it.

There are also quite a few not so public beaches in Florida. How about the Outer Banks of North Carolina? Or Georgia's islands? Galveston?

The most beautiful beaches I have ever seen are on Washington's coast, but they would not be very warm. You would be guaranteed privacy, though. I also happen to love NW Indian artwork, so for me, the shopping is great.

Good luck, and I am with you. Drunk, stupid people make me tired and sick.

Well, you're thinking along the same lines as they are. "We have off for a week, let's go to the beach." If you want to get away from the teens find a place more inland.

Go to the school pool. Nobody will be there.
Anywhere that you are describing is going to attract the kids.
