Why aren't you taking him to the Vet? I don't think your initial concern should be getting along with each other.

The only thing that can make the 2 cats get along is time. The bad thing is that the added stress is not good on the injured cat. If at all possible make a bed for him in a quiet room in the house and try to seclude him away from the other cat. Make sure that he is getting plenty of fluids and rest. If he doesn't start to get better then you really should take him to the vet.

Hi, first of all the injured cat needs to see a vet as soon as possible. While you may be able to clean him up, he NEEDS antibiotics. Animal bite wounds WILL cause SEVERE infections.
Before you let the cats have contact with each other, make sure the outdoor cat has been tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). You don't want your other cat to get any diseases from the outdoor cat.
Getting cats to get along can be a very long process. It will help a lot if both are spayed/neutered. Keep the new cat in a room by itself for several days so the other cat can get used to his scent and presence. Gradually let him out for a few minutes at a time, under your supervision to prevent any fights! It may take weeks or months for them to get used to each other. Good luck!

Does the injured cat sleep all the time? I live in the highlands and my cat is always being attacked by eagles or ferral cats and things like that. My cat sleeps for a couple of das afterwards and then looks after her self and is always in good health afterwards. But if its nose has been bitten off it will need anti-biotics from the vet. But if its not that bad you will not need to go to the vets as their syliva is Anti-biotic.
I would also keep the two cats apart, the indoor one up stairs and the outdoor one down stairs.
Hope that helps xx

it'll take about 7 days for the cats to get used to each other.
Put bacatracian cream on the ears and noise. after cleaning with warm water and soap. It' won't do any good to try to wrap it, cats are little escape artist and masters of taking bandages off. If you can get him to a vet, depending on what attacked him and since you don't know, He could come down with rabies. You don't want that around your indoor cat. Just a warning.

well most cats take care of their own wounds.
my mom has a farm and has cats around there and she had one who got caught in something and the tip of its foot got cut off and the tail got cut off and it got hit by a car and it looked gross and broken but this cat would not die so I do believe that they have 9 lives.
your cat probably got hung in the fan of a car or something I had cats do that all the time cause they like the warmth of the motor.
so I would let it heal itself and just watch it and make sure it looks like it is healing

the element that I even have experienced multiple circumstances with my cats scuffling with is abscesses. the exterior of the wound will heal over yet an infection gets trapped interior. the section will swell, become extremely heat, and if opened with have pus in it. (gross, i be responsive to) Abscesses could properly be very risky and could be dealt with by skill of a vet with an anti biotic and the vet beginning the wound back up. you're saying the wound seems ok nevertheless? no remember if it rather is therapeutic without looking contaminated or annoyed...it fairly is going to in all hazard be fantastic. If no longer, i could see a vet.

take him to the vet!
leave the injured cat in your room or bathroom. Im sure moving around might irritate his condition more and especially if he has internal injuries. thats what we did with my dog when she got shot. until she chewed up the side of the wall, tooth paste and toilet paper. we figured out that she was all better and we put her outside.
shes made a full recovery btw!

Take him to the vet to prevent any infection from starting get it cleared up right away, your cats will have to eventually realize they have to get along one way or another or they will just keep clear. Good luck! hope your cats OK!

Make sure one gets one half of the house for a time, and the other the other half. Then switch them. This way they will get used to each others scent. Gradually allow the time for them to meet increase.

It was probably a dog or racoon if u live in the suburbs. Try keeping one cat in a room and the other in an other room. it might work.
