sometime this summer. [out-of-state]
Right now we're packing alot of things into bins so the house doesn't look so crowded. During spring break (next week) we're going to be packing alot more and doing minor improvements. However, there are quite a few repairs we have to do before we sell the house. We haven't put the house up for sale yet, and we're still in the process of getting jobs over there. So my question is, when is the latest we should put the hosue up for sale, have time to move during the summer and be completely settled in by the time school starts next year (2007-2008) ?

Thanks!

Put the house up for sale now. It often takes months for a qualified buyer to make an acceptable offer. Especially in today's market. Sometimes the sale of your house is contingent on the sale of their old house. If you get an offer a little sooner than you are ready to move you can ask the closing date be bumped back a while or you can close and rent back your house while you're doing your final moving and packing. The worst case senario is to move and have 2 residences to pay for at the same time.
