my daughter just got her blood work back and it s 23.4 and the doctor wants to talk to me come monday but i was wondering if this is highenough to be considering leukiemia or if i am worring for nothing. i am realy scared parent right now so please serious answers only!

High numbers of WBCs (leukocytosis) may indicate:
infectious diseases
inflammatory disease (such as rheumatoid arthritis or allergy)
leukemia
severe emotional or physical stress
tissue damage (for example, burns)
anemia
etc.

some medison god plants in your yard some poison it some think its the environment some people who have cancer dont drink enough water a fella i went to school with died of leukiemia while i was in high school im unable to help my neibor hood is sick i cant even have wildflowers in my yard and if i had someone stop by that had what you are talking about i would be able to let them use the medison not just waste it do think it might be any of the poisons were alloud to eat that they use to grow our food im not saying there is any problem but how many people do you know who go to doctors they tell you good things is it usually doom and gloom and in some places they dont even have consumer protections on meds and the pharmacuticle companys know that are you going to continue the poisioning of the environment at home or once you heard bad news you still continue on your path wondering what could be the problem meanwile your not considering alternative methods doing all that you can do possible to make your place a better environment do you think its safe were your living and have you had a radon test done for your house good luck i tried to help the best i could

Its about 5X normal. Bacterial and viral infections are typically in this range. Childhood leukemia is often of the acute type, and white cell counts go into the 50X normal range. Also, the child would show a preponderance of one cell line (lymphocytes, granulocytes) and a marked reduction of others, as well as a low RBC.

i see WBC's this high in kids all the time, when they have an ear infection, or bacterial infection, like sinusitis. i wouldn't worry, but definitely follow up on it. bacterial infections in kids often bring WBC's this elevated. an appropriate antibiotic should bring things back to normal.
