I know the answer to this question, and my opinion can be found at:
http://stforum.5gbfree.com/forum.php. I want to see the opinion of others. Why do you believe God allows people to suffer, if he is loving?

First of all. What is suffering? Autism? Paralysis? Who says that's suffering? Only those who would pity others who are not as fortunate. But people who live in rough situations do not want to be pitied. They take life as it comes.
Now there is a suffering in the world today. Has been since the fall and always will be as foretold in the scripture. Christians will credit SIN with this and they are right. God said "if you eat - you will surely die" and because He said that, His word will come to pass. He'd be a liar if any other circumstance occurred. Once sin entered the world the death process started. Even Christians will endure hard times because character and maturity is what is being developed. Unbelievers tend to moan and gripe about life's unfairness whereas Christians, for the most part, do not. If a Christian is living within God's "will" there still will be trying times but not judgment. Judgment from time to time will be exacted on unbelievers who commit offenses which are considered abominable to God. I suppose when sin rises to a level that God will not tolerate it any longer then you may see this. In todays world we can see instances where you can make a case for this but we do not know for sure if indeed, God judged. One thing you have to remember about God. He is loving but even more, He hates sin and His wrath is unavoidable in continuous sin.

"Allow" isn't the right word. I believe that a spirit, even the Holy Spirit, needs legitimate access to society in order to affect it in any way. Sin is a spiritual barrier, as good and evil don't mix. So when a place is completely devoid of holiness, and no one is around who wants to change it, then God has to lead someone into helping change that area.

and God has helped those who suffer before. I believe it's because of the prayers (basically like spiritual legal documents) of Christians who truly understand prayer.

I do believe in God and I don't know why He allows it, but I know that each hurt and suffering He can use for His good and His glory. I spent a long time in pain before God healed the constant, all the time, everyday pain in my knees (after 4 knee surgeries) but I have been able to share how God took that away.

Why do you believe God allows people to suffer, if he is loving?

If he is loving, he cannot allow suffering.
Since he does allow suffering, then he is not loving.
So if he is not loving, he must be violent (which fits in with the Old testment perfectly)
So why should we be worshipping a violent god?

Because Jesus suffered and if we want to be like him then we must suffer too.
