possible, but difficult. One, the Navy only accepts a certain number of GED holders per year, and most times that number is very low, and the number of people trying to get one of the slots is very high. They take on average 100 or so per year.. but have about five times that number applying. Part of it is timing, you just have to be there to sign up when a slot is open.
Additionally, you have to scoire higher on the ASVAB than a HS garducate, and the job choices are limuted.
one semester of 100 level college courses elevates a GED to a HS diploma, which opens up a LOT more opportunities.

Yes, you can, but you would be considered a "Tier II" candidate,, you would be required to score at least a 60 AFQT (A composite of certain ASVAB scores) before you can join. Furthermore, you would require to submit a waiver to be approved by the Recruiting District's Commanding Officer, which will basically be a written essay, from you, stating your reasons why you dropped out of high school and why you want to join the Navy.
Once that waiver is approved, you are free to join. Of course, as a GED holder, you will be restricted from many jobs, including Nuclear Engineering. You will also be ineligible for an enlistment bonus, if there is one for the job you pick.
My best advise to you is to take a semester of college (at least 12 hours of freshman or sophomore level courses, no remedial courses) as this will qualify you as a High School Diploma Graduate, then there will be no waiver for education and you're free to choose any job you qualify for. CLEP tests that colleges accept for credit go towards this requirement.
Also, GED holders, before they are even sent to MEPS to determine if they are eligible, require to have a police record check performed in every area they lived in, and three references from the community, other than relatives (teachers, former employers, etc.) If you have more issues other than the GED, expect to not be accepted into the service.

If you haven't aged too much you should get in. The navy still needs older people to allow the younger men to do more vital work

If the Navy's minimum requirment is a high school then you should be eligible. GED is equal to High school.

Yes, but the jobs you'll qualify for will be limited. Have you ever chipped paint?
