is it a male or female? males tend to be less expensive.... around 250.00 and females vary from anywhere from 300 to 500. 300 is good for a female if you want to breed from her.... 250 is good for a male

NO!!! You can get a pedigreed dog for that price. I do not advocate people selling mixed breed dogs for high dollar. You are talking about a schnauzer mixed with a poodle, then that dog mixed with a Yorkie - stop the science experiment and encourage sterilization.

Head to the nearest shelter and find a dog that needs a loving home - the price will be a lot better, I promise.

You could buy a mixed breed like that at you local shelter for less than $100. I think that is a ridiculous price for a mutt.

If they want to make sure they go to a good home than they should charge money but not that ridiculous amount. They may not even be able to sell them. That isn't even a common designer mixed breed.

Well, geese someone just posted a litter of mutts that looked like Maltese or possibly a westie mixed with they don't know what for 400 up in MA. Have a look at the link below,so I suppose depending on your area...

BTW I agree you can get a pure bred for that with AKC papers in some breeds and areas,so I think it is preposterous that a rescue would charge that.

No. The only fair price would the cost of shots if they've been given. These are mutts, I'd never pay more than a shelter adoption fee, or if from a private person the cost of any vet care for a mutt.

I don't want to encourage more purposely bred mutts.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!! they are mixed breed pups -super mixed breed pups ( a schnoodle is also a mutt) you could offer to pay them for the cost of the first shots and for worming.... $30. they should actually pay you for taking these little mistakes off their hands.... be prepared for hefty vet bills,,, these so-called designer breeds have be known to have major health problems all thru life ( because the breeders do no health testing etc. )

I would be more concerned with prospective owner interveiws than money when placing these mixed breed(mutt) pups. Just my opinion.

Absolutely NOT!! That is very expensive for a mixed breed dog. It is not one of these designer dogs either. In plain launguage it is a mutt!

If they are vet checked with shots then I would say yes.

Never buy a puppy that hasn't been vet checked.. You could buy it for 300 only to spend 3000 at the vets keeping it alive.
