Genesis 3:16 To the woman he said,
"I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children."

So knowing what we know about the human body (nerve endings, size of a vagina, size of a baby) how did God plan on child birth being painless? Smaller children, I mean they were living for 900 years then so they had more time to grow. Maybe eggs, eggs are small. Or maybe wider dialation, "ma'am you're dialating about a yard, I think we can deliver the baby now."

Anyone wanna guess?

Child bearing was always painful. The original sin was another way to subserviate women to man during the creation of christianity. By placing the blame on women for causing Adam to "sin", women were placed in a subserivant role.

The types of things are present all throughout the bible. True doctrine from the bible says that only a woman can be guilty of adultery. Men are not subject to that. So, all those asking about their cheating husbands in Marriage & Divorce need to be told that if they are a christian couple, the man in the relationship cannot be guilty of adultery.

Even after the creation of the bible, and the start of catholocism, women were kept in their subserviant role. Women for much of history were not allowed to learn to read. Men were to instruct their wives in the proper worship of god. Etc.

Throughout most of history, the woman's vows at a wedding said for her to "love, honor, and OBEY her husband". And, why do you think the father is the one who gives away the bride. Women were property. The father was literally giving away his daughter.

Have you ever heard someone talk about the "rule of thumb"? The rule of thumb was you were not allowed to didcipline your wife with anything wider than your thumb.

So, basically, the different religions of the world were responsible for keeping women oppressed throughout history, well into the 20th century. And, I wonder why women out there are not p*ssed about this. It really confuses me to no end. Why would women subscribe to a theology that was responsible for keeping women "in their place". So, when women complain about not being paid the same for the same job, but still continue to follow religions that are the reason for this, I stop listening.

Because, why should it really matter to me, I am a man.

I think that prior to the fall, alot of things are outside our comprehension. Like all animals being vegetarian...(I for one cant imagine an lion grazing on grass). And since the curse of woman came after the fall, well...there ya go. But I do think that since God has the power to create the world we live in, and all things upon it, making the pain of childbirth disappear would be a snap.
