can a sign of depression be that you turn messy? my mom just pointed something out to me that made me think. I used to be such a clean freak and lately i've been getting lazy and dont care for tidyness. i've also been losing a lot of sleep. and when i do sleep i sleep for almost a whole day! quite scary

depression is a really difficult thing to predict,, your'd better go and see your doctor and explain all your symptoms.. I have just been told (yesterday) that i am suffering from severe depression and have been for about 6months now, but i would swear to you that i am ok, and its not true....so please get it checked out...

if your looking for specific signs in "your own life" of depression ,and if this seems or even feels like a flip flop change from how you once were; it would be a great idea to lie down, relax before you goto sleep, and ask the Lord to come into your life or even for an answer. When a question like this comes into your life and your still unsure about an answer, you should always ask him. It's answers more then you ask for.

well, the sleeping part for sure.
signs of depression are as following
*Lack of sleep, or sleeping too much
*eating too much, or to little
*not enjoying acitivities that you used to enjoy
*a constant feeling of sadness
*suicidal thoughts
but look, not to be mean to your mom but she isnt a doctor, so dont let that make you think that you are depressed, if you think you are however, then go to a doctor to get yourself checked out!

Yes, these are signs of depression, but it could just be weather related. Nothing to serious, so relax and just get yourself involved in some activities.
