I don't want someone to have that much control over me. If you choose to do something because of another person or not do something because of another person, then that person, ultimately, has control over my actions. If someone gives me the advice of not doing something or doing something because they care about me, I will listen to what they think, however, the choice is ultimately up to me. So, no, I don't do things to spite someone else because it's a sign of immaturity.

Not in spite of them, but if I thought is was the right thing to do I would do it.

It depends on what they've asked me not to do... but to do it just to spite them, no, I don't believe I would.

It'd have to vary with the situation though.

in a relationship where you really love and care abot the person....no and not in a million years. once you have that connection with someone, and you lose with b/c you want to prove that you are right and they are not b/c of something they say not to do...not worth the risk
