I have been dating my boyfried for just over 14 months now. We pretty much live together, but I have a house and so does he, but I haven't stayed there for well over 6 months. We have been through a lot with one another. I've lost 2 really close things in my lofe, and he has been awesome about it. We have talked a little bit about kids, and he has made a comment that he likes my father's house and that it would be a great place for a wedding. He has suggested going away on a trip, as well as this summer having a bbq at my place. He has also been leaving his truck at my place while he is using his work truck, and he has even left his work truck at my place as well. Things have changed in the relationship since the beginning and i am not 100% sure if it is because we are both so comfortable with one another that things dont matter as much. My question is what type of signs do men give off when they are seriously thinking about marriage, and that I am the one for him.

Well, I see a lot of commitment in this question. For him to be leaving things over @ your place, he is for sure thinking you are a keeper. I must say though that although it sounds like things are great, we are unusual creatures. Some guys fear marriage and would rather keep a relationship as it is. Then again, I knew I wanted no other woman when I proposed to my now wife. I don't know him, but all the signs in your questions screams yes he is ready to marry you. Good luck and will keep you all in my prayers.

You are the only one who can decide for yourself and the one who knows your boyfriend best. Nobody here on this site can tell you yes, do this or no, don't do it because we only read the tip of the iceberg here. Marriage is not something you should rush into because it is a lifetime commitment or should I say a very serouis commitment (if not lifetime). Seek his personal opinion & views about marriage, family & kids without really directing him the question about your situation. If you are not satisfied with his answers go ahead and discuss the issue with him. The more open comminucation you have, the healthier your relationship will be. Mind-reading is not healthy. No matter how small the issue is, talk about it in non-argumentative way. You are the master of your own destiny. You will know when he is ready for such a commitment and so are you. Good luck!!!

Well I kind of knew that a proposal was soon to come from my fiance because he kept talking about the future. He mentioned family vacations, buying a house, growing old together and things like that. He would tell me every single day how he's never been in love with anyone like he is with me. How he didn't know it was possible for him to love another human being as much as he loved me. He told me that for the first time in his life he was experiencing unconditional love towards someone other then his mother. And he would say things like this every day! So I started thinking that maybe he was thinking about marriage and proposing, But just when I thought it was the perfect time for him to propose, he didn't do it and I was disappointed. But a few weeks later he proposed at the least time I'd expect it. It surprised me so so much.

So to answer your question: the only sure way to know when a man is thinking of marriage is when he actually proposes!

Good Luck!

When someone starts talking about future things, such as a bbq this summer, he is thinking long term. The fact that he mentioned a wedding at your dad's place is a good sign, because men never thing about those things unless it relates directly to them. Good luck.
