Do Muslims believe that men have less control of their sexual desire than women?

It depends on the personality. Sexual desire is something hard to control. However, that is why Muslims are given the rule of sex only after marriage. Premarital sex is forbidden to get rid of the problems coming out of it. Think about it. So much teenage pregnancies in the other parts of the world. Children without names. Child prostitution, AIDS and so much. Islam has given you a relief from these activities. NOte one thing by following this rule you try to remain faithful to your wife i.e not going towards another woman. What does to lead to: a stable family life. If you notice places where premarital sex is common, so are dysfunctional families. By following this rule, we get strong from inside and get high morals.

Depends who you ask. The basic belief is not that men have no control, but that if a man sees a nude woman, or spends time alone with a woman, the spirits will come and whisper in his ear, and he will be unable to resist the spirits. As for the women, if a man wants sex they are required to give it to him, because he is a man. So technically speaking, I guess noone has any control.

true saying, by the prophet " whoever kidnaps a free person and sells them for money is eternally in hell " true sayings, every major misdeed in Islam it atoned either by a hefty punishment or setting a slave free, no where did it say about the rules that enabled Muslims to take new slaves the reason slave were mentioned so much in Islam is because they were a given fact in the world these day, not just the Arabian region but all over the world, and so in order to allow a safe passage from being slave to dealing with their own lives since they were not trained for independence, islam allowed them to remain saves, just that the reward for setting them free is greater than almost every other atonement god says " how would you know what the big reward (aqabah) is, setting a slave free, or feeding on a very dire day an orphan that has a connection to you, or a poor person that was once a respectable man, ..." and god also said that a man that swears separation on his wife claiming her as a taboo to him would never touch her until he has fasted for sixty days straight or set a Muslim slave free and it was also said that someone who breaks an oath should either fast for three days straight or set a slave free other practices that were expected from early Muslims was to educate slaves in reading and management and if a man wished t procreate with a slave that he was to set her free and independent first and then ask for her hand in marriage like a free woman, this is proven by an incident in the time of Omar when a man came to complain about his son who was never good to the father, so he had the son brought in chains and asked why he did that, among the reasons of the kid was that his father made his mother pregnant as a slave and left her as one to that day, Omar them swore at the man for mistreating his son and had him whipped while the son went free

As a Muslim women, I believe that men will be men. So, I'm weary of all men. American, German, Dutch, Arabic, Mexican, Canadian, French, African and so forth. Most men can't control their sexual desires no matter what nationality they are.

Islam teaches men and woman to control their sexual desires; Anything before marriage is prohibited there are things that are prohibited. After marriage both spouses are allowed to sexually interact however there are two things which are still forbidden

1) Entering the woman from the back
2) Anal sex

As a non -Muslim, I think this makes sense. If you apply the supply and demand theory, men demand more sex than women. You don't see brothel's of men with a line of women trying to get laid. Prostittutes do it for money, the Joe's do it cause they can't control their peepee.

Probably since they order the women to cover themselves up. I think they do this because they're afraid that Muslim men can't control their urges which might be true.

By the way they behave, you would think so. By observing Moslem people, it seems they blame women for rape and sexual misconduct even though the men had a lot to do with the problem. Men don't seem to be punished for sexual misconduct as much as women do. Men don't have a dress code but women have a very strict one.

It appears to me that if a Moslem man even sees an ankle or facial skin on a woman, he is sexually uncontrollable and blames the woman for his lack of control.

I don't know if that is true but it sure looks that way by the way they behave and treat women. If Moslems don't want that public opinion, they need to give freedom to women and show that their men have some ability to control themselves.
