I think .357 sig i better. Get a real gun that shoot .357 magnum it would be a lot better.

The .357 sig is a .40 S&W necked down to accept a .357 diameter bullet. This round is pretty close to a .357 magnum revolver round. It can be overpenetrative. As far as the .40 GAP is concerned, I don't think it is all that much better that the tried and true .45ACP, and ammo is cheaper.My choice woule be the .45ACP, then the .40 S&W caliber.

For the dude that answered .22 is an idiot...
.22 only comes in rifles and has 5 cap. mag.
45 and 357 are pistols....
357 will be better since it is smaller, it usally have 12 cap. The piston and barrel is short for self defence rather than killing intensions. It is known to have less jamming and is comforatble to carry around. It would be best on waist or shoulder hoisters.
If you live where you really eed it, dont forget to get xtra magazines (extended if possible).
