your little girl may have an eye infection. just keep her eyes cleaned as you are doing. do not wipe the other eye with the same tissue. throw away the tissue or change wash cloths often. it may help to rinse her eye out to speed the healing process with plain eye drops or eye rinse. good luck.
have visitors wash their hands upon entering your home and leaving to prevent the spread of the germ.

What on earth is the point of the hospital giving her antibiotics for a viral infection? Antibiotics don't affect viruses. Still it may prevent secondary bacterial infection I suppose. If she is getting better then you must be doing the right thing. If you are still worried in a day or so take her back to the doctor.

Cold tea is the best thing for gunky eyes i swear it is .. my daughter was troubled with conjunctivitis whe she was younger and my doctor wouldnt prescribe anything as he said cold tea was the best thing for eyes .. Infuse a teabag with hot water from the kettle , let it cool considerably , dip cotton wool in the cold tea and then dab your little girls eyes with the wet cotton wool , its better if you can get the tea into the eye for maximum effect .. I promise you will be pleasantly surprised .. It worked a dream on my daughters eyes and everytime i hear someone talking off sore eyes i always get my cold tea remedy in there ..!

Good Luck x

Looks like where she was run down she may now just have a mild eye infection. Bathe her eyes with cooled boiled salt water 3 times a day with separate cotton wool for each eye. If it is not better by monday take her to see your GP, as she may need some eye drops.
Hope it gets better

My little girl who is also 4 has had exactly the same. Its conjunctivitis. You need to get some eye drops its too late now for the docs so try Asda Pharmacy they should have something.

Bless.. sounds like her defences are low as she has the temp etc and she has contracted conjunctivitis as a result. My little one gets it whenever he has a cold!

stay with the tablets and bath her in cool to warm water,( not cold) this will really help the temp to come down and make her feel better.
