can i use a regular tape recorder head cleaner on a sharp veiwcam camcorder?

As long as the head cleaner tape is the same type as the camcorder uses, you should not have a problem. With MiniDV tapes, there is one issue. Some brands use a liquid lubricant and others use a powder. If all of your tapes and the cleaning tape are the same brand you are in good shape.
