Hi there,
It is alright that he wants to play, but play bighting is not acceptible - you need to set rules, if he play bites, stop playing with him and ignore him until he can play nicely, if he nips you say ouch! and then ignore him.
It is good that he is so energetic!

A 9 month old Golden who is still mouthing you is not good. It is a habit to get your attention and must be stopped. If he trys this again pull your hands away and look him/her straight in the eye and say with a firm low voice no, then turn your back on the pup.
You must do this every time he does the mouthing to you or anyone else. He'll get the message real quick if he want to play and Goldens are born to play :). All Golden are very playful and I can't see him not wanting to play with you but it must be without the mouthing.
give your Golden a tummy rub for me OK!

It's completely normal. Only thing I would suggest that we used for my retrievers is this spray you buy at the pet store called "no bite". The biting is okay now because it's just playing, but as it gets bigger he could really hurt someone unintentionally. The spray is used by spraying it into his mouth when he bites you. It's sour and dogs don't like sour things. It's operant conditioning. He will begin to associate the biting behavior with the unpleasant taste and eventually he will stop biting.

Puppies like to chew, their teeth are sharp and perfect for it. They're kids too, and since You(not the dog) are the Boss, when he bites you or something you don't want bitten, slap him in the face and point at him, all the while maintaining EYE Contact, and STERNLY shout "NO", and do not break contact until an "Eye to Eye" understanding has occured. This will remind both the dog and you that he's done something wrong and that it's a dog.

Yes, that's normal. He is playing affectionately. Just be careful with small children because puppy teeth are very sharp.

Here are some instructions for stopping puppy nipping. Be sure that *everyone* who interacts with your dog does the same thing!

that is fine, he is just telling you that he/she wants to play. If it ever get to the point that she/he is biting you stop playing a reprimand the dog.

It's ok and normal once and a while as long as it doesn't hurt, and you really think it is playing. Just try to teach him not to do it.
