Which came first, the chicken, or the egg?

Shelled eggs developed in reptiles millions of years before birds existed. If you specifically mean chicken eggs, then obviously the chicken and its egg evolved simultaneously, so neither one preceded the other.

The egg, in its most primitive way, which is a less complex form of the two, is most likely the one that came first. But the modern form of egg was probably once the product of an evolving chicken.

Me. I then created both chicken and egg, and raced them. the chicken won, so I suppose it came first, but the egg couldn't really move.

the egg. early reptiles laid eggs. one day, one of the eggs cracked open and a chicken looking creature came out and became successful and passed on its genes. eventually the modern chicken came about. taaadaaaa!
