This is a true story. Students who do not score proficient on state testing (sometimes require 85% right) cannot get higher than a D on their report cards. This means many kids are retained or sent to summer school even though they have A's and B's on classroom assignments. Can a 2nd grader really comprehend why they get A's and then see D's on their report card? If this is happening to you, it is time to stand up and fight.

Sorry I was not specific enough. I didn't mean to say this was universally true. But, it is in my area. It will cost taxpayers MILLIONS and destroy so many students.
