im gaging to set up a double ended bag in the spare room of our house. but its a rented house and i dont want to go damaging to much of the ceiling. so does anyone know of any way of putting the bag up that isnt to going to be to destructive.

i think you can rig a frame from 7 pieces of scaffold tube,or build a free standing frame out of something substantial ,such as 100mmx50mm timber. i could do it easy .good luck

You have to attach one end into a ceiling stud, and the other into the floor. If you have a stud finder, it could help you not tear up the ceiling too bad, And if the ceiling is untextured, it is very simple to repair. If you want the bag so bad, you must be willing to make the repairs when you move out, I'm thinking it shouldn't cost more than a few bucks if you do it yourself. Home depot can help you out on that end.

No so sure what a double ended bag is but can I suggest that you sit it in a corner of the room to punch/ kick it? Not ideal I know but no construction involved and it is less likely damage the property

use a structure like gantry
i used one from an old discarted child swing
it helps me a lot
