He(GOD) lives within my soul. I look at the amazing world systems and I find comfort in trusting God. I read his words and am comforted. I pray to him and I find Peace. I look at the scientific world and see further evidence of God.
These are a few of the Proofs of God to me. I accept all these things by Faith.

Your question is related to the cosmological argument for a First Cause of everything:

One needs to have a formalized understanding of logic and philosophy to understand the topic of God's existence. Here is a starting point:

Premise: Every event has a cause
Premise: The universe has a beginning
Premise: All beginnings involve an event

Inference: This implies that the beginning of the universe involved an event
Inference: Therefore the beginning of the universe had a cause
Conclusion: The universe had a cause

For something to have caused the universe it must have existed outside of the universe and time. That First Cause could only have been an omnipotent supernatural agent, God.

Another argument is one from design:

1. The universe began to exist
2. The universe has complexity, order and fine-tuning
3. Complexity, order and fine-tuning imply design
4. Design that began to exist implies a designer
5. Therefore, the universe has a designer

Premise 1: See Big Bang theorem (Hawking, Penrose) All matter and time itself began at this moment
Premise 2: Universe has complex designs, e.g, cellular DNA, Laws of Physics, fine-tuning for life on earth, etc.
Premise 3: Nothing ordered can come from chaos, an orderer is required. Laws of Nature are often cited as counterexamples, yet these very Laws are themselves ordered.

Premise 4: Self evident. If something did not exist, there is no beginner or designer

Thus, the universe has a designer, God.

Once I conclude logically that a designer exists, I must then look to evidence of this designer's will. After investigating, the bible appears to me to be the most reliable revelation of this supreme being. You can review the two links below for discussion about the reliability of the bible.

While all of my questions will never be definitively answered, I find that rationally my belief is on solid ground. There are many things in the world we do not fully understand, yet we have no problems in believing them. For example, solar physics is not fully known, yet we all accept, upon faith, the "fact" that the sun will rise tomorrow.

Why is it we can believe in many things using rational analysis, even when what we believe is only partially known, yet when it comes to matters like a supreme being, we suddenly want the "show me" proof?

Persons that seek absolute proof of something are inconsistently applying logic and rationality, for they do not seek this absoluteness in all things. Hence, their epistemologies are not fully formed; they speak without proper understanding of the nature of knowledge.

These persons must first take the time and formal study to answer the question: "What is the justification for the presuppositions informing your epistemology and ethical system?"

I have also taken the time to spend years in universities studying theology as well as science (have a Ph.D.), so I could more fully understand what I have staked my eternal soul upon. I don't advocate everyone do this before making a decision one way or the other, but I do suggest folks go beyond the rhetoric in these forums, the media, and elsewhere, so they can be more grounded in their beliefs.

:
Well how can their not be a designer?
Look all around you the sun, stars the plants, animals. Living on a plant the perfect distance form the sun, with the perfect tilt, and a life cycle. Also the perfect temperature, and right amount of gases for us to breathe. The human body...where ever organ has a purpose. The heart pumps blood to , The brain so we can think and feel.Ears eyes and noses perfect so we can hear just the right amount of sound, see all Gods creation, and nose to smell.
Nerves to feel. Reproduction organs so to continue life on Gods earth.
Gods book the Bible...is that most accurate book from its time period in existence. God died for you their is proof everywhere.
If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart you shall be saved. If not, you will spend eternaty in HELL.

I don't consider myself to need proof. What proof do you have there ISN'T a Higher Being? Like the prosecutor in a criminal trial or the plaintiff in a civil case, you are challenging an accepted assumption. Thus, you must make your case.

Here is your answer:
There can be no proof of a higher being. God does not want there to be proof because if there were, then belief in Him would not be a matter of faith. If there were proof, then it would not be a matter of free will to believe, and God wants us to have free will.

There is no proof, and that is why having faith is such a hard thing to do. Disbelief is easy.

Have a GOOD look around you ....God says that the proof is there for ALL to see & that those who refuse to recognise his hand in all he created will be judged accordingly. So friend , ask yourself if the evolutionists have the answer or whether the Creator of the Universe will have the final say ? Your eternal destiny hinges on your answer to that question .

i have proof of spirits mayloo
both in giving and recieving messages
my proof comes from descriptions , names , dates , reason for passing , personality , and details that can only be confirmed later by other family members
for instance i was told that a medium had my dad , they gave wonderful evidence
but the best was the part that i didnt know
they told me about brighton and i had no clue why
so the next day i phoned mum and asked her ... and she told me that when she and dad went on holiday down south that brighton was one place they never missed while there
i had no idea about this
but anyway 6 months later mum was down south again visitng family when she took a stroke
they had no hospital near them able to deal with her condition and they had to take her to a specialist ... in Brighton !
that is my proof

It isn't so much about proof for me as it is about purpose. I don't see myself as having purpose apart from what I perceive as a higher being. Life becomes bunch of cultural and societal whims without this higher being's reason for creating life.
This is definitely not an attempt to proselytize, hence the lack of religious terminology. Rather, life has a greater depth of meaning for me as I learn more about my purpose.
At the core of my belief about this higher being is that He/She/It created us for the purpose of choosing through free will to want to know He/She/It in spite of the fact that we cannot see, touch, feel, etc He/She/It. Because I am aware of this higher being and choose to learn of He/She/It, I feel I am fulfilling my purpose.
All that to say, it's more faith than proof. If proof existed then there would be no reason for free will...
Best of luck to you in your search!

I look in the mirror and see proof. Without God's protection a pitiful thing like me would have died a long time ago.

I have only the proof I have come to know that a greater wisdom exists through my personal experience of capturing the wisdom thoughts that drift in all things.

My experience has come through understand what life is by reading and learning...

After I read and learn I think about what I have read and decide if it makes sense.

If it does make sense to me I read more of it. I pay attention to it and make it part of me and me part of it.
