And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen. "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)
I know christians who have had faith and truly believe have their prayers ignored. One example, a guy had a terminal brain tumor, Dr's gave him 6 months to live and his wife was 3 months pregnant with their first child. The Dr's were trying to keep him alive so he could see his child. He had about 100 christians praying, asking god to let him see the child, they had faith and truly believed god would answer them.
He died 3 days before his child was born.

It's possible that Jesus didn't even say that. But even if he did, I don't think that he lied, because inherent in lying is the INTENT to deceive others. I don't think that Jesus of Nazareth intended to deceive anyone.

Understand that a true Christian desires the heart of God. And one who desires the heart of God asks God for what's best in a situation not what they want.
As for the brain tumor, people die. It happens. It's a part of life. I had a brain tumor and I happen to be a survivor. Often I find myself asking why I'm still here and others died from the same exact thing. It isn't fair and sometimes I question God myself, but who am I to do that? I just have to have faith that God knows what He is doing.

No biblical texts were written by Jesus or any of the so-called disciples. Many historic texts were deleted or denied when they did not agree with "church" or "religious" doctine.
This point is merely fact
The problems we have created in this world are not any ones to answer for but our own when our time comes.
Did Bush lie? Did Columbus discover America? Is global warming real? Are the underlying claims of any religion or philosophy or claimed forms of mutual-ness and stewardship adhered as claimed?
I would worry more about how you conduct and interrelate with life in humble and mutual relationship toward and throughout all that surrounds.
As opposed to debating who will save you if you don't.

No Jesus can't lie.
I can't say why God didn't raise him up then. But I know that all things work together for good to those that love God and are called according to His purpose.
God always answers...sometimes the answer is no and because we're not God we can't see the whole picture and the whys and wherefores but if we trust in Him, He will give us peace.

As for your friend God answered the prayers it just wasn't the answer they wanted. I had pastor once say to me "if you want to move mountains you can, just bring a pick axe." Whose to say how that mountain is to move. Christians are not omitted from tragedy, we suffer the same maladies as a person who doesn't believe. A better prayer for your friend might have been for his family, I'm not sure, what I do know is to move mountains the Bible says you need faith, (the size of a mustard seed) but faith nonetheless. You can't judge another's faith.

Have you considered the possibility that he was there when the child was born. but he was in the spirit, not a physical body?
Was his brain tumor painful? If so, maybe that is why the Lord took him! (Relieve the pain).

God has a reason for everything to happen it says in the bible that if it is GODS WILL for us that it will happen. Every one has their own timing to die its just a matter of when. Maybe through this person dieing someone will get saved and maybe in order for this person to get saved .... he had to die ..... i mean u never know, you can't change Gods plan for the future all you can do is seek in faith that it is his will for your prayer to be answered.

Everyone is destined to die.
Rom. 5:12, 17, 19: “Through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned—. . . . By the trespass of the one man death ruled as king . . . Through the disobedience of the one man many were constituted sinners.”
1Â Cor. 15:22: “In Adam all are dying.”
Then you have a resurrection and then a retoration of earth to perfect paradise where the wicked, pain and death will be eliminated. Dumb man will not be in charge of earth anymore.

God(or Jesus) can't sin because its against his nature,But just believe God is going to do whats best for you and other people. God let 911 happen and many people turned to God. God used a crisis for his glory.
