He needed a place to put us? We are not perfect son. But you are wrong, I think God may need us.

He created the world for us and for creatures to live and love one another. HIs point may have been to create something beautiful, which He did, but it was abused later. That is why He created the Great Flood, to wash away the sinfulness that disappointed Him.

He recreated new life through Noah and his family, yet some people on earth still abuse the goodness and beauty of God's earth...can you beleive that?

Stay calm and look about you...if you see beauty and goodness, that is God's work. If you do something good or make something good and beautiful, that is God working through you. He is giving us the "chance to enhance". He is giving us a special gift, all of us have a special gift, to use and share with others.

Don't waste a moment on complaining about the earth, use what you have to help make it better in some way. You can do it! We all can...and no, your question is not stupid it makes good sense.

To show he is not selfish, he gaved each of us free will to choose good or bad. Remember he did say there would be dire consequences for doing evil. One may argue why something bad is happening to me and i did nothing wrong. it was some one who did some wrong in your family generations ago. There is a scripture that evil may follow unto the fourth generation. So folks again you may get away doing evil but a relative would pay sooner or later. But there is always hope for God is the quinessential answer to and for all.

Maybe it goes back to the old saying, "show me". God gave us the ability to make choices. If we had not been given the opportunity to see what the consequences of bad choices were, we wouldn't appreciate the good and truly enjoy what (I believe) his purpose is to give us that DO make the right choices to have everlasting life. I also believe His 2,000 year test is coming to an end and his followers will soon reap his reward. (That is another long religious story so I better not get started) Anyway, that is my short version.

I would love to answer your question comprehensively, but that would be impossible in this space. Read "Rational Spirituality" available on the Dhaxem website, and you will understand why the creation of the world was necessary.

God is not about himself, and what he needs. He is in charge of the Universe, and he does what is best for everyone. And what is best for everyone, is also best for him.

My God is a generous and sharing God.. He wanted to share the very best.. sunrises, sunsets, balmy nights with stars twinkling. and then he created people and the people created musical instruments and they made a joyful sound unto the Lord and God said.. "This is good" and he didn't erase it.

Now, you're intelligent enough to know that a mythical man made being didn't create the world - right?
