The scriptures were written in different languages. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek.
Neither of these languages are anything like modern English. Hebrew doesn't even have vowels! Most Hebrew interpretations must be done in context of the history it was written because the Hebrew language is all about concepts.
Greek is also very historically context sensitive.
As such, there are going to be broad interpretations of these writings. Unfortunately, we are so far removed from the cultures in which the scriptures were written, we can expect vastly different interpretations.
Just to challenge you a bit, when Christ ascended He did not tell His apostles that He was leaving them a book...He said He would leave them a Helper in Holy Spirit...

Interpretation is the process by which little black marks on a page are converted into concepts in a mind. Everything we read, even a stop sign, has to be interpreted before we gain any useful information from it. You cannot read something without interpreting it, unless you are reading a language you don't understand. The fact that truth can be found in the pages of the Bible doesn't negate the necessity for interpretation. The only way you can avoid interpreting it is to avoid reading it, and in that case the truth would remain right where it is - in the pages of the book.

First off, the bible(A.k.a book of B.S.) is not solid fact or truth at all. But is really full contradictions and Bullsh*t stories that make no common, scientific, and logical sense what so ever. For example walking on water, talking snakes, adam and eve, are just a few Bullsh*t stories in it. It is very amazing why people actually believe the bible to be fact just because a Non-Existent god said so. Also millions people have been killed in the name of this Non-Existent god because it told them to do it, just so they can go to heaven, Mount Olympus whatever fairy-tale place they want to go for all eternity. The Bible does not need interpretation it needs to be destroyed with all the other bullsh*t material that goes with it.The whole idea of god needs to be eliminated for good.

If the bible is solid fact truth, why are there in fact, so many different interpretations?
The only reasonable answer I can deduce is that the bible is not solid fact truth at all, and it is written so vaguely, that many can and do interpret it differently.

If the Bible is interpreted personally, the interpretation will usually be in error.
The Bible must interpret itself. You do this by running all the references on any topic. The Bible never contradicts itself. You cannot use one verse to nullify another verse. It is in perfect harmony within itself. Problems come because of lack of understanding. Lack of understanding comes from ignorance and not being guided by the Holy Spirit in Bible study.

For the same reasons judges in our courts "interpret" the laws our governments have. Some words have multiple meanings and we must honestly look at their context to see what meaning is intended in each situation.
I'll assume you are honestly seeking the truth instead of trying to mock the Bible. Email me with any questions you have about any passages and I will try to help you, if I can, and if I don't know the answer I'll admit my ignorance and try to help you find the answer.

It doesn't. It is fully able to interpret each and every word in it, by itself. Its needs none of mans interpretation at all. Its just that man does not fully understand what is written. Thats the fault of man. Lack of knowledge will be the final downfall of man.

Any intelligent individual will interpret what they read. Besides, how do you know something is true unless you interpret/ analyze it?
