As with any difficult or traumatic experience, you should seek professional help. You have gone through a bad experience, but you don't have to let it ruin the rest of your life. The symptoms you are describing sound like social anxiety. Counseling and medication, if needed, can help you overcome your fears. You can learn to be cautious when out in public in the future. Do you have any close friends that can go with you for support if you chose to go somewhere that you feel may cause anxiety? Staying in groups decreases your vulnerability and can help you feel more comfortable. Good luck.

Hi barticus,
It is widely known that using E does lead to the developement of Anxiety/Panic disorder and depression. Even after just one use! In fact even after just one use of marijuana some people report an onset of Gad or panic disorder. Soon you will hear "he used to be so social" ,refering to you. Just know that you now have these disorders but they are treatable. And you are certainly not alone. You must seek professional help now. SOme people use meds and others dont, that will be up to you and your Psych, however you must see someone as soon as possible.
Also, The reason that these drugs have a long term effect on your brain long after that drug is out of your system is because of the free radicals(causing oxidative damage) they leave behind which are now destroying some parts of your body including your brain. It is imparitive that you take some anti-oxidents to destroy those free radicals from doing any further damage. It wont take away your anxiety however it will stop the brain damaging processes. You can find out all about anti oxidents at any GNC or with a book called Prescription for Nutritional Healing third edition, Balch. The most powerful anti-oxident i know of is melatonin and should only be taken at bedtime. But you must take a combo of anti oxidents to be effective over a long period of time. The best antioxidents are available at GNC. Persoanlly i dont trust any other source because of the quality checks GNC does before hte products are bottled. Good Luck and God Bless, if you need some help email or im me.

I'm so sorry that you had this horrible experience. I can understand why you feel nervous about going out socialising, but I feel sure that there must be steps you can take to do so and yet feel safe. Choose the venue carefully - cinema/ theatre/girl friend's house - somewhere you are unlikely to meet any druggies. Go with trusted friends who will look out for you and stay with you. If you have a drink keep it in the bottle with your thumb over the top, and don't leave it for a second. If you can do this you will gradually build up your confidence again. Good luck.

Poor you,it's an awful thing to have done to you but dont let some immature little ba$tard ruin your life.
Take your parents advice and seek some professional help, your young and should be out enjoying yourself with friends not sitting at home worrying all because some $hit thought they'd have fun at your expense.
Go out with friends you know and trust, try an hour at a time and build your confidence up little by little.
Dont let one twisted little ar$e hole spoil the rest of your life!
Good luck my friend!

there is drug testing strips that you can get but i dont no where you can get them from so that when your outif you leave your drink to go to the toiet you can put it in your drink and it will tell you if your have been spikd with drugs. dont be scared and panicky to go out you dont want to miss out on your life. id go to the doctors and ask them where you could get them drug strips from but tll them the situation first, hope you will feel better after you try this and it will help you a lot and bring back you self asteem. It's natural that after such a horrible experience you will feel a bit anxious but the situation does seem to have gone on a bit too long now. Perhaps you should consider getting some counselling.

You're probably psyching yourself out, albeit unintentionally.
Retrain your train of thought and put yourself out there, so that you'll have no choice BUT to get back on the horse. If it doesn't work, definitely seek help from a professional.

Babes, I had a simmilar experience last year. I went (after my boyfriend mithering me to death), to a club in Manchester. He went to the loo, & I got talking to some people. Stupidly, I went back to my drink, the whole place seemed weird, as if I was in a goldfish bowl & things kept moving. I felt sick. Nearly collapsing, & my boyfriend having kittens, I managed to get home. It put me off clubs, & even pubs. I managed to overcome my fear by facing it. I went back in a pub. I felt terrible, but eventually overcame it. I'm glad I did, for my boyfriend's sake. All I can suggest is to go back to the place you went to, take a friend. But NEVER go back to your drink. There's some sicko's out there. Good luck hun. xxx
