You always want something more, whether it be a better husband/wife, sex, cars, good food, a tv show, a movie, and tons of other stuff. We always have a desire for something more, animals are not built this way, why are we?

There is a difference between wanting to replace what you already have and not being satisfied with life. If you have a wife and you want a better wife, that will never change no matter how wonderful your wife is.
On the other hand, making new goals and striving for greatness in all that you do requires a certain amount of discontent.

Good luck out there.

Yes and we're not.

Oh, alright. We are. All animals are, to a certain extent. We are programmed to like novelty. Just try feeding an animal that eats the same thing every day and regulates it's nutritional input a mixture of different foods all the time and see it put on weight.

But we can transcend this. Despite the best attempts of commercialism and advertising to keep us wanting more.

We just have to decide to be more satisfied with what we have. Or at least to make sure we prioritise what we really need from what we just think we 'fancy'.

I think we just keep looking for things that will make us happy. If we are happy then we feel more content and that the world isn't out to get us .We live in a more stressful time era now. Seems the more we progress into the future it become more and more stressful. We are not completely unsatisfied, just lookin for that good feeling whether it be sex, cars, money, good food, intertainment, women / men, etc! Makes since doesn't it ? ! ?
