If you're using Windows XP, go to the start menu and then to control panel and from there click on 'add or remove programs'. Limewire should be in the list and then just click remove.

click start >All programs >limewire click the uninstall entry and follow the on screen instructions.
Alternatively go to the control panel double click Add/ Remove programs look for the limewire entry click it then click the remove button
Don't delete it manually it'll leave invalid entry in the registry and icons you didn't know you had

On Windows XP:
Go to the start menu and click "Conrol Panel".
Then click "Add or Remove Programs".
Scroll down all the way until you find LimeWire (whatever version you have) (On my computer the programs list has a big gap of white between porgrams starting with "E" and programs starting with "F". If your computer does that just keep going down until it comes up.)
Click on it and click "Remove".
And just follow all the steps it gives you.

After you delete Limewire install Bitcomet instead it's the best PTP around and won't give you any problems. Hope this helps.
