like we have been going out for almost 8 months and she wants a break. It's been a day and this guy is saying he loves her and i'm just a wreck. we spoke and she said that she promises that once summer comes in we'll go back out and that this guy is just some guy she doesn't care about. i love her with all my heart and i don't want some guy taking my place. what can i do to make her stay with me? it's only been a day(march 2nd-3rd). please tell me what to do. i would rather die than see her go with some other guy. even if it's just for about 2 or 3 months... please help me

Talk to her and see why she wants to go on a break. Is it her parents? Her friends? Is it something you did? Talk to her and see what she says about it. Then try to work something out, explain how you feel about her and you dont want to see her with anyone else.

Well I do not think that it's officially over by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, if you play your cards right then you could reunite and be even stronger together then ever before. Sometimes girls still like a guy but they want a break. Why you ask? Well there are many different reasons but overall you need to play it cool and not overreact here or else you might push her away. My advice to you is to basicially go out with friends, have fun, give her the vibe that everything is OK. For whatever reason, she wants a break but wants to reunite in the summer. So you have to go with this request in a positive manner. Perhaps you could date someone in the mean time? So once the summer hits it is your perfect chance to come back stronger then ever. Play it cool, wait for the summer, and before you know it she should call you back.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. What is that saying, if you love someone, let it go, and if it is meant to be she'll come back to you? Just the fact that she is talking to another guy that way, shows she is not ready to be committed. You can never MAKE anyone stay will you that doesn't want to. Just let it go for now and if you want to wait around for her, go ahead, but I think maybe I'd start looking elsewhere.... Sorry!

That sounds sad. I'm sorry, but yeah, I think you should tell her how you feel. If she still says she wants to be with this guy til summer, then I think you should try to let it go, or show her you are less interested, then maybe she'll come around. Honestly though, if someone is hurting you that much they aren't worth your time, but I also understand how it is to think you lost someone you love. Good luck and just stay stronge.

My friend is goin thro the same thing. I reccomend just let it go..even if u love her..just let it go. U might get heart broken to c her with other guys maybe u should start seeing other girls while ure at it. and see if its any help to get her off ure mind. And if u really want her to stay..proove to her that u dont need a break prooe to her that u love her more than this dude!

tell her that you love her. Tell her how you feel. Tell her that you would rather die than see ehr with another guy. Make her feel loved. Go somewhere she likes. She might be leaving you because she has the need to be loved. Make her feel like she is the most important thing to you.

your giflfriend sounds like an idiot and a cheater. how can some guy say he loves her in one day, if she hasn't been cheating on you with him? get rid of her and find someone who will really care about you. 8 mths is not worth losing your self respect for some floozy.
