I am Christian, and I've been Christain. I live with my dad on the weekends and he believes but doesn't go to church. I really want to go to church to learn more and share my thoughts with other people who believe. I've tried talking to my dad about it but, he doesn't like talking about it. What should I do. I really want to be closer to God. P.S: I really have no donomination.

if i was in your situation i would go to church wether your father wanted to or not. i would make sure that my dad undderstood how important that is to me. i would ask him to bring me there even if he wouldnt step a foot into the church. i would tell him that it would be nice if he joined me but i am not going to make him come that is up to him. hopefully dad would see how important that is to my life and at least support my choice to go to church. if i was you i would go wether he came along or not. its what he believes and all you can do is try to make him see where you are coming from. You cant make your dad do anything that he dont want to do. we all have our own free will.

there are also other options to get to church u can walk or ride a bike, go with a friend if you have one. see if the church you want to go to or go to has a way for someone to pick you up,

praying about your situation may also be valuable. ask god and jesus with the fact that your dad doesnt wanna go and you should receive an answer just be patient and wait the answers to the questions that you seek will come to you

You don't have to have a denomination to be a Christian. You do need to be born again in the spirit as Jesus said many times. That your dad is not willing to take you to church makes me question his salvation. We all can believe, but it takes faith to be a christian and it takes being born again. So I wonder if your dad is a christian. Don't force the subject. If he doesn't want to go, so be it. Pray for him every single day. Ask him if he would be willing to take you to church and drop you off, then get you when it's over. That would be alright. If you tell God your problem and ask Him to help you He will. God wants us to come to Him in time of need.

1. You do not need to attend church to be closer to God, period.
2. Read the bible, for God warns us many times of the church.
3. Realize many churches today are actually ran by Lucifer
A. do they not ignore the meek? their no. 1. job to take care of
B. do they not adorn themselves in riches while others starve.
C. do they not borrow from banks, the system of Lucifer.
D. they place church and pastor before God, book says no to this.

Get on YouTube, Google Videos or just the web. There are a ton of videos on the Bible, age of earth, Dinosaurs, how to understand Revelation, etc. One guy out there, Kent Hovind has a 7 part series, its really good. Can be found on web or his site, www.DrDino.com.

Your Dad is wise...for he does not want to attend for he see's the evil that is before him. And many do not like to speak of this evil they see for they are either confused by it or feel like they are going against God for not being in his tabernacle. But that is why God tells us to be wise, for many will try to decieve us.

Talk to your Dad more about finding a church that is more in the speakings of YAHWEH, the Lords REAL name. A church that preaches this name will do things right, will not be filled with riches and will not "act" like most churches do.

You can also get on www.BibleGateway.com and have the bible at your finger tips in many versions.

Having no domonination is fine, so don't feel that you must have a "label". For there is nothing between you and God, for he tells us to put nothing between us and Him.

I don't go to church, I don't belong to any group, but I do my own studies almost daily here online. For he is teaching me his word as he said he would....he will guide you by your right hand to the answers you seek. And he has done just that.

Good luck, and keep the faith!
Soldier of YAHWEH, YHWH.

Try to get involved with A Christian youth group in your area. Someone from the group would probably pick you up if that were an issue.
If you could use some good free online Bible teaching go to: http://www.derekprince.org/site/PageServer
Also, by all means, read your Bible - especially the New Testament.
Peace to you.

Find a church that is near to your dads apt. Ask dad to bring you. If he refuses, contact the church and I'm sure someone from there would help you.

The Bible says that we must go to church. Believing isn't enough. Praying to Jesus is your only possible solution. Ask Him to talk to your dad, and He will send ministering Angels.

The best thing to do is pray To who they call Jesus who's real name is YESHUA. ask him to forgive you and ask for the holy spirit. When you do this the holy spirit well lead your heart on what to do. When I went threw the same thing I asked God to put someone in my life to help me and God did that for me. God will answer you prayer in his time.
