If you mean LimeWire then no its totally free just download it. There is one version where you pay but there is also a free version that is just as good i have it.

Don't listen to the guy above, Bitcomet is probably the worst torrent client around, and is banned just about ever private tracker. Limewire has a free version and doesn't cost anything to become a member or per downloads.

If you go to http://www.filehippo.com you will see a section called "File Sharing"....

Everything there, to my knowledge, is free to use, no download fee etc, however, using programs like LimeWire (assuming you meant that not LiveWire as I've never heard of that...just did a search for it... can't say that I know anybody who has ever used it), are essentially illegal... hence the whole thing about Napster going from free to paid....

You can get viruses through any download program though so be warned... if you're going to use a P2P make sure you have good virus protection and know that there is a reason why you have to pay for stuff now off programs like Napster and the whole ITunes thing.... however, there are people who use it to get stuff for free (not saying I"m not guilty of that myself, I am) but be careful what you download.

No, it does not cost anything for free version. but it does cost $18.88 for Limewire Pro which gives you more Bandwith for faster downloads.Plus you get free up-grades for 6 months. I have the free version and all downloads are free it's a really good program for music, pictures, and video's.

Nope its free and a great program for downloading single music tracks or episodes. But i would recommend a torrent for downloading large programs like games, whole albums, Movies etc
