The people of the land called United States have to support the military, they are the reason we are in this mess today and without them having the ability to destroy whomever our national leaders say destroy that old adage "The S@@ is gonna hit the fan."
We must from this day forward continue to engage every nation we deem worthy of our strategic needs, and that includes peoples fat a's sitting in Suvs as they go shoping for foreign made goods at Wal Mart.
Sad but it is the truth.
Most of the reactions from so called terrorist has had to do witht the US using its military to force economic interest upon other nations.
Our Corporate interest left and went overseas looking for easy profits because tehy were having bom times in US and thought hey this is great lets go overseas and get cheaper goods made there. Until today he US has had buisness and industrial leaders who instead of leading in industry lead in money manipualtion and make more from tax inducements, stock manipulatins, money laundering by off shore accounts and selling us ownerd lands to foreign entitys such as Honda Toypoa and many many more.
We are fighting in a alnd rich in oil for firms not primarily located in US but in England and Europe.
The only real profit making company in US are either froreign owned or related to our military industrial and political complexs'.
Actually the military is a pretty safe bet today and pays as well, with better benefits or than civilian jobs outside of government workers.
For evry combat grunt you got some pretty fat a@@ jobs around 20 to one doing as little as possible each day putting in 40 hours a week making at least 14 an hour and more. Some a lot more.

There are a few nut-bars in any large group, that doesn't mean the entire military should be judged on the basis of these few dolts. That being said.... maybe the recruiting standards need to be tightened up a bit.
America's aggression, though, shouldn't be supported by the American people or the world community. On the world stage the US is the drunken, borderline retarded bully desperate to pick a fight with the most vulnerable kid.

As a soldier it is very discouraging to see some one as the question should we no longer support the military. We are here to protect our land. We are the reason our country is free and people can speak out against The Government. In most countries you could die for asking such a question.

Our leadership is what you can no longer support, but if you love this free country you should thank your troops for that. We are the richest nation in the world, not to mention we do have natrual resources also, if we have a weak military it would be open season on America. Your military is what deters evasions.

Your basis for this statement is what?

Anything?

Or are you just making stuff up, hmmm?

Let's see - do *I* have emotional issues and like to harm other people? Let's see...I'm an EMT, and a Volunteer Firefighter. I'm a High School teacher, and I've run a computer consulting business specializing in Health Care and the Hospitality industry for 20 years. I teach Women's Self-Defense courses...

Yes...Clearly I do.

I enlisted at age 42 and ship for BCT in about 5 months.

Try doing some research before opening your mouth and spewing your nonsense onto your keyboard.

I'm not really following you there, but as a country, we need to support our military. We shouldn't stop a war because there are a bunch of basketcases crying out saying that we are horrible people. If this were in France, liberal as they may be, let's admit it. France wouldn't let the people decide for them just like that. They would tell the people to stand down. We are lucky to have a government that actually cares about our opinions unlike others countries that lack civil liberties that you and I have.

Dont generalize like that, it makes you look like an a s s!
There are millions of people not in the military with emotional issues that like to harm people, the murder rate in detroit was higher in a year than all of iraq in 4 years, so should we stop supporting detroit?

You are right. We should no longer support the military of Iran, North Korea, or Al Queda. That is who you are talking about isn't it ? If not , you have better not be talking about the USA military, The brave men and women who protect our country. If you are talking about the USA military , if you live here leave, if you do not live here, please do not come here to visit or live.

that is dead wrong! these incidents are isolated, and the media is responsible for blowing things out of proporation, and people like you are sucked itno it, and then think that every military person is a potential murderer! wrong! we need to support our military 100%. however, there do need to be some curbs put into place on some of the problems that a few marines and army boys are guilty of! thye are currently prosecuting and putting in prsion these men who are guilty of some of these atrocious crimes! we need to set better example of how to treat prisoners of war, but overall, our people are doing a great job! no one is perfect in a war situation! my suggestion? you, clown, go over to IRAQ, CONFRONT THE SUNNI INSURGENTS, AND SHIIITE DEATH SQUADS, and let us see just how you!! can mentally or physically deal with it! this nation will continue to support our troops, with our without the likes of outspoken people like you, who have! no clue as to how our boys have suffered over there!

What? You don't have to support my military. We are doing extremely well with out you.We have many brave men and women who choose to serve their country with pride and honor. If you don't care for the freedoms that this country provides you at the cost of soldiers and marines blood you can go live else where.Maybe not having rights to die for will suit you better.
