I have been looking for a poem for years. I think i remember it from grade school. I believe it was about 2 soldiers who were friends and who were fighting on the opposite sides of a war or battle. The poem may be taking place by a tree or on a hill maybe? Any ideas?

I am not familiar with that poem, but it sounds like it could be one from the Civil War era where friends and family members often fought on opposite sides. There are both Confederate and Union poems on the website below. There are other websites--just search for "Civil War poetry." If you don't think the poem was from that era, try searching for "war poetry" or "poems about soldiers."

i hit upon insanity to be a modern, yet as this poem boldly and ideal states, mixed with anger it creates somewhat a tempest! i assume while i think of insanity I see Walter Bishop from Fringe, and consistently have an excellent connotation to it. psychological ailment (stress, melancholy, schizophrenia, etc.) actually brings approximately creativity and different good factors to a individual. "dying is freedom." dazzling thank you to end a poem! i admire existence, and that i think of maximum folk do, yet I got here up with this seize-22 that truly makes delivery a curse and dying a modern. I consistently look to discover the thank you to make something solid look undesirable and something undesirable look solid. that's a organic expertise. This poem has very blunt strains, they provide the effect of being to return from nowhere! those are often the main profound strains, and upload very sharp dramatic consequences. you in addition to could won't be able to tell there are 2 distinctive artists, that's totally cool. Your types mixture somewhat properly :)
