I have been told to try a new diet that says: when i wake up in the morning to take a glass of warm water, and then eat more greens excercise half hour more and dont eat three hours before bed. i pretty much get the last couple of things but what does the warm water do?

the warm water puts something in your stomach, dilutes the digestive juices that your stomach creates in anticipation of a meal. The warm water also keeps the greeens from just clumping into a ball, the leaves will stack and clump. warm water is better than cold, because cold water will shock your stomach.

warm water as with cold water burns more calories drinking it than room temperature water. That's the only thing I can figure. Be cautious in your expectations from a diet like that though. Most crash diets don't work and if they do, once you resume your normal eating routine you generally gain more than you lost.
