Yes they are hard to housebreak.
They are tiny and do not like the cold and most temps are cold to a dog so small.
They do not like to go outside when it is wet or raining or cold.
Many people including one breeder I know potty trains them to the puppy training pads and does not even try for total housebreaking. You could teach them to use a box much like a cat litter box.

chihouhas are like any pets they are hard to potty train depending if you walk them or not.

Just so that you know its spelled Chihuahua and from my experience they CAN be stubborn and hard to train but it is far from impossible.

not at all. if you get them young it might be easier because they haven't been taught differently. try using treats or toys to encourage them. =]]
