I have sold art on ebay since 1995...along with other stuff. Your right...it is only a money grab.

I listed things on etsy and haven't sold anything BUT it is rather new and not well known.

If people STOP buying MASS produced it will be a great place. I don't know where they get the stupid idea that a limited edition will be an investment. How stupid can you get. Who ever heard of limited editions going for record setting prices! Nope. Doesn't happen. P

I have a friend who sells on Etsy, she sells jewlery, knitted scarfs, and felt hats. Her hats sell really well, her other stuff not as well. She really loves Etsy and has recommended it to many people including myself, but I havn't had time to set anything up personaly.
Certain items will sell better then others, there's a forum on etsy you could probably get more responces on there, especially from people who sell things in the same category as you.
If you have quality items that are a bit more unique I think you'll do well. The most important thing in marketing is having a product that stands out in the croud.
Etsy also has some nice threads on ways of boosting your sales on the site, and other sites.
P.S do you have alink to your goods?
