I wanted to know why the Bible was taken out of the qubo show. There are lessons of Gods word on the dvd's, but on saturday morning, though teaching good morals, there is hardly the mention of God and His word for us. That is a very valueable lesson for children, and they seem to listen better, or understand what comes out of a cartoon. I just don't understand why God is being removed from everything in the first place, but now our kids' program that we have trusted for so long seems to be doing the same. We wonder what the writers are afraid of. Please help me understand this.

No, this was an editing decision by the network, for time and content. Not the writers decision - they were pretty angry about it.

Don't worry, the moral lessons are as strong as ever.

The following link explains it.

I heard this story on the news or maybe the radio a couple months ago. When NBC bought the rights to the Veggie Tales for use on their Saturday morning children's line up, they also removed religion as not to offend anyone. I think that it's VERY sad that they have removed great lessons out of a wonderful show.

I have seen Phill Visher interviewed about this and he was very upset. Veggie Tales claims to have edited the shows to fit into the time slots which still included quirty at the end with his Bible verse and lesson but the network insists that the show was too long and still had to take it out. If you ask me it is just religious censorship. NBC had no problem showing Madonna's concert where she was crucified on stage. They seem to have an Anti Christian mandate going on.

BigIdeas was bought out by someone (I'll look it up).

VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer is producing the 30-minute VeggieTales TV episodes, which have been tailored to meet NBC's programming guidelines as well as national educational and informational (E/I) standards for children's programming.

This quote is from the veggie tales website. Doesn't look like they've been bought out, but it may look like "NBC's programming guidelines" are driving the creative force here. The question is, do NBC's guidelines include God?, or is Phil "selling out" to get his product to the main market? Time will tell

I TOTALLY NOTICED THAT! I was just wondering it the other day. I think they took it out of public television because they don't want to "offend non-Christian watchers". They might be trying to be subtle, but it's lost on me. The kids of today need God's word.

Everyone is afraid of offending some one with religion. I guess the network is owned or reviewed by atheist. What you should do is email the network or company and ask them http://www.nbc.com/Footer/Contact_Us/ . Get sky angel for religious programing.

I don't know, I noticed that too. For some reason I'm thinking it has to do with losing their job.
