If it is replacing an old one, perhaps more features.
If it is for you and your bedroom, you will not be tying up the phone line all the time and he will not have to bug you all the time to get off of it.
By the way if you want a new phone some of your allowance should go to pay for it. Offer that to him......I bet you will get a new phone...
Fair is fair.
You both get something when you compromise. and it will show him you are taking some responsibility.

all new phones are why better then even last years phones they get better service and hold a charge longer
