There are many things that can make this happen. W. is correct but also, a slipped disk and Lyme will have the same symptoms. Just went through the same thing last week with Mother in laws dog. Take it to the vet on Monday if it doesn't seem to be in pain now, and find the true reason. I would keep it off of furniture and steps until it is seen. No jumping or climbing up or down. Good Luck.

i might ask you to take her to a vet for a examine up and make confident that her purely undertaking is that her legs have become vulnerable from age. If she is obese it could reason this. If she is arthritic, it could reason this. If she is, comprehend there is oftentimes soreness in touch. she would be in a position to be positioned on Rimadyl (which will reason some liver harm) or steroids to help with inflammation. that's a commerce off. additionally there are over-the-counter issues like Gloucosomine and Condroiton (SIC) for the joints. I additionally had my canine on a product called TransferFactor which I further to her nutrition. I have been given it from my vet even yet it is likewise available via the nutrition distributors too. It fairly helped her muscle groups and familiar well being throughout! however the 1st step is to have her appeared at by potential of a vet.

There are several things that can cause symptoms like you are seeing.
The degenerative mylopthy is one and Wobblers is another also Lyme disease and a slipped disc can be the cause.
You should schedule a vet appointment and start getting some tests done. They are going to need to run a blood panel and most likely x-rays also.
My Weim was like this about a week ago. x-rays and blood pannel were clear. They put her on antibiotics for a week and she has been fine. No pain and no problems running like normal. They are not sure what caused it but she is in good health now and fine.

Hi my male boxer is prone to bladder problems, he sometimes has problems passing urine. On one occassion his urethra was blocked which caused tremendous abdominal pain and this led to him becoming weak and he did in fact collapse. Once he hit the floor he urinated and relieved the pressure and was much better. Got him to the vets straight away and they confirmed he may have small bladder stones or prostrate problems.
So although alot of people are saying hip problems it's worth thinking about his too.
But yes get him to your vets asap, if he's insured you may be able to claim money back if you need to call the emergency vet.
Hope he's better soon.

Boxers can suffer from hip problems. If he's lost control over both back legs then he'll need x-rays done to show why. He may need surgery to correct this if it's an option. It depends on what the x-rays show.
Is he between 1 and 3 years old? If it is genetic that's the range of when it will show up.
Keep him away from stairs, and keep him quiet on his bed until you can get him to a vet for x-rays.
Something like this will not go away on it's own. He may come out of it, but it will most likely come back. It needs to be diagnosed by a vet.

Take him to the vet! If you live in an area prone to lyme disease it could be that simple. A test and simple antibiotics are called for. Hoping that it is nothing too serious. Good luck!

First take a deep breath and relax!!! There could be so many reasons why this is happening to your best friend. No one here can tell you what it is. Only your vet can tell you exactly what's going on.
I wish only the best for you and your buddy. I will say a prayer everything is ok.

Has he be running alot or really hard? when my boxer did a lot of hard running he had the some problem and my vet told me to give him tylenol to help the pain. but you may just want to take him in for a check up to see what is really wrong with him. I hope every thing works out ok for him god bless.
