All the films are sitting in the dowloaded area of BitComet, please explain what to do next to burn them onto a dvd and make sure they a readable.
I am a beginner so basic step by step please.

More than likely the video files you downloaded are in Xvid or DivX format...You'll have to covert them to DVD format to watch them on your home DVD player...Or you can just burn them as a data CD and your computer can play them providing you have the Xvid & DivX format codecs...
To convert them to DVD format you'll need software...
I really like VSO ConvertXtoDVD for that...then burn the files to a DVD using a good burning software like Nero 7 Ultra.

These files will have came down as ISO file types so you can use Nero 7 to burn then or get a copy of MagicISO to convert them first. Hope this helps.

you need to find a utility that will convert the format they are in now (avi divx ?) into DVD format (mpeg 2 with a specific file folder structure) - you may actualy need two programmmes - one to convert to mpg2 and one to convert to dvd
Note this conversion process takes at least the duration of the movie
