This could be problems other than OCD. I have OCD, and everthing in my dorm room is organized from smallest to biggest. I have OCD fits in which I completely disinfect the b athroom. For me, stress causes it. When I get too stressed, I clean, and then I rip everything apart. Look into other aspects of your sister's life. What is the OCD doing to her? How are your parents treating her? Try to make all these aspects better, and the fits might lessen.

This question is ridiculous. Lucky me, I have lived with OCD for over 16 years, at times, debilitating but saying that someone is crying about everything because of OCD doesn't make any sense. What OCD stuff does she do? If she wants to run away or kill herself, she is probably depressed, not OCD. You do need to focus on yourself though a little more - don't let her become the focus of your life. There's no point. You can't help those of us who are too far gone.
In regards to the person who made their comment about their husband not making sense or something (I can't completely remember), believe me he knows the rituals and things he does are insane - We understand that this stuff makes no rational sense. But it's something we have to do!! : )
Okay, so um, anyway, make sure your parents or professionals are there to help or keep an eye on your sister - we don't know how old/young you guys are, but well.
And my sister has a sister with OCD!

Okay, I'll pray for her but how do you know it's OCD?
People who cry a lot are usually just cry babies or overly emotional... OCD is not caused by crying nor is it a usual symptom. Sometimes it can make you miserable and you want to cry but not "all the time." She could just be depressed?
Depending on how "little" your little sister is, it could just be growing pains, hormone changes or maybe you just don't realize how much of a pain in the butt you really are?
I would actually get a diagnosis from a professional before saying she has OCD just because she cries...
OCD is a condition that causes triggers or ticks that happen all the time methodically and for specific reasons unique to the individual. They are coping mechanisms that help some people but can sometimes hurt them too, when they become overly obsessive and it compromises their daily life to such an extreme that they need help for it.
I tap and count things, I am an absolute anal neat freak and germaphobe... and double and sometimes triple check things (depends on what kinds of things and what they do?) that work in a mechanical nature to make sure they are working like the stove or locks and windows, gadgets ect... Mostly for me, it is a control thing and a trust issue. But some people do it because they believe that by doing it, it will keep some known or unknown, bad thing from happening like it they tap some specific thing a certain number of times (all of us usually have a number we prefer.) it will prevent the world from ending. Or something like that?
People with OCD are usually very omnious, oracle minded people who also develop ticks to predict and control their life occourances when they feel out of control or controlled by someone else? Like for instance when someone say's something like... " If I do this (whater this, is, tap or repeat something?) this should happen as a result." Like fortune telling kind of?
It is different for everyone but I have never heard of someone crying all the time because of it?

It seems that with this disorder, one needs to hear lots of affirmation and understanding. My husband has OCD and his reasoning often blows my mind. I find myself getting angry with him and have to stop and try to gently make a point instead. I use lot of patience and sometimes get stressed to the max, but I love him, so I try to find better ways of communication. Things are much more intense to those with this disorder and I have to remember that. You need to as well. I will pray for your sister and for you so that God will give you more knowledge in how to deal more effectively with her. Always show her your love. It will make a difference.

I will pray for her but the truth is that sometimes OCD gets better after a while. I am very sorry that your sister has this disease but it just goes to show you how truly lucky you and I are. she has a serious illness but it most likely wont get any worse if you feel it is at its worst. I will pray for her every night when I go to sleep.
