For my birthday I would like... The kids to get up and make their own beds and breakfast. Mine too? Oh, yeah! I would also like a cake that they made, flowers from our yard and a homemade coupon book redeemable for extra chores...The card? Make it yourself and remember the best gift a Mom can have for her birthday are the words I Love You.
If I knew your mom I'd tell her I think she has a great kid. Way to think ahead...a Mom

It's kinda hard to answer this. You're limited to supplies. Hmmm. Take your kid to your mothers, or call her, and have him/her sing happy birthday. If the child is old enough. Also, if the child is old enough, have him/her help you bake a cake. Or, you could always be honest w/ your mother. Take your child to see her, and say "Mom, I'm sorry, I'm short on cash this week. I couldn't buy you anything, but I brought (insert childs name) to see you and I can make you dinner or do some of your housework for you."

The best present I ever received from my children was an afternoon sitting out on the lawn with a beer watching my kids wash my car for my birthday. We laughed and talked and I got to drive a clean car.
The best present you can give your mom is your love and your time.

I did this for my Mam once and she loved it:
I bought a thick book with lots of pages and decorated the cover with flowers and hearts and her name in glitter.
Inside, I filled the pages with photos of our family together and wrote my memories of fun times we had together, with mementos such as train tickets or programmes.
I also got the whole family to write what they loved best about her on a page each. The final pages I left blank and told her we'll have more good times in the future to fill them.
She loved it and cried. She had a wonderful day, and all for the price of a notebook.

Make up coupons on the computer that have things on it like,'
"Good for one free house vacuuming"
"Good for one free lawn mowing"
"Good for two hours free babysitting"
You get the picture. Whatever chores that you can do that would help her out, make a little coupon book for her, and give that to her.

Draw a Picture of your Mother, the best you can and color it, and in the bottom left hand corner of the painting, write- My loving Mother on Her ---Birthday, and sign your name under that, and she will cherish it forever.
