I just started taking 25 mg zoloft on Thursday for depression and some other conditions. How long does it usually take to start to feel the effects?

Usually it takes about 14 days. They are not miracle pills; furthermore, 25mg is usually the initial starting dose. It may have to be increased over time. Keep in touch with the prescribing doctor as to how you are feeling. Good Luck!

I didn't really feel any "effects" from zoloft-I just started feeling better and less depressed and a lot less anxious. My Dr. told me it takes 30 to 60 days for it to work its way into your system. Stick with it-it worked wonders for me!!!!

I used Zoloft, it took 4-6 weeks to take effect for me, and I had to up the dose quite a bit before it really helped me. It got rid of my depression and anxiety, but it also got rid of my sex drive. Now I"m using Lexapro, and it got rid of my depression and anxiety, but boy do I have a sex drive!

Good luck!

You start feeling slightly better in 2 weeks...you feel much better in 4 weeks. Just be careful and watch your weight on this drug...it has been known to cause weight gain in some people.
