I would scream loudly in horror, then run over and kiss her on the lips.

You mean the face veil? That's not even a thing she's made to wear. Face and hands can show. Even hair if you think about it, because the Quran says to dress modestly from the neck down, don't let your figure show, lower your gaze, and lengthen the garments (wear long skirts or long dresses). So, personally, I'd think it was great that she's not following an extreme sect and following the real Islam. I don't wear the face veil either, and my ex husband from Pakistan would yank it off if I tried (I have one, and he did many many times). I go with how I feel and the weather. If it's too cold, I'm wearing my very long winter jacket with the hood because my health is important. In summer and all other times I wear atwo piece hijab and double layered abayas.

I have many friends who once wore the hijab and they took them off after wearing it for a few years. Although I would never encourage them to do so, they are grown adults and can make their own decisions. As their friend, it is my duty to tell them the benefits of wearing the hijab/veil, which is what I do. They know how I feel about the hijab/veil because I wear it, but I am not disrespectful to them about their decision (even though I disagree with it. )

To answer the question, I would have no reaction at all. It really wouldn't matter to me if she did. I wouldnt be suprised or upset.

It is her choice, she has to face God and explain herself.

That's the beauty of Islam, everyone is responsible for his/her own deeds on the Day of Judgment.
