Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits said:
"Give me a boy at 7 and I will make him a catholic for the rest of his days"
Young minds are easy to mould or indoctrinate, but this should be sensibly balanced with the young person being able to experiment upon the word.
Faith and testimony are not painted on by indoctrination, they have to be nurtured, and this is a process which can take years to fulfil.

Actually the first group does it to whoever they can get a hold on. Young or old, they don't care. It is like "The Invasion of The Body Snatchers."

with basic training it is one man giving the order through a chain of command that is established by political power. In religion, it is one man assuming the power because he tells people he can communicate with God.

Probably.
I Love to be BrainWashed by the Word of GOD--NOT the word of what Men (male or female) THINK the Word of GOD Says.
I Love to be BrainWashed by "WHAT GOD SAID".
HIS Words are FULL of POWER and There ALL TRUTH.
THE TRUTH will Set you FREE.
AnyThing Else (men's words) will Usually PUT YOU IN BONDAGE (Fear).
Now, can You Tell when you are Hearing "What GOD Said"? Truth, Faith and Freedom.
Or What man Said? Fear and Torment and Bondage?
Sincerely Hope this Helps!
Ditto..............

If it did, religious indoctrination would be more effective than what it is now.
